About a year ago, I sent out a newsletter about how overwhelmed I felt when I looked at my calendar for the week ahead & saw so many commitments, I thought I’d taken on too much.
If I cancelled anything I knew I’d be letting others down so I took a deep breath & told myself “the only way through this is to deal with one thing at a time”.
So, when teaching a private yoga lesson, I was teaching that lesson.
When making something to eat, I was making something to eat.
When leading my Wednesday morning yoga class, I was leading my Wednesday morning yoga class. Etc etc!
Living in the moment got me through.
Fast forward to this week. I’m teaching yoga, interviewing new team members for our retreats next year, updating our website, redecorating our house, choosing a retreat marketing specialist to work with and looking into additional training for me.
It’s another full on week and guest what? I still need that same reminder.
“One thing at a time, Nicole”.
“Be with who or what’s in front of you – don’t think about what’s next”.
So, if you ever look at your own week & think “how am I going to get through this?” – pause, breathe and come back to the thing that’s actually in front of you.
Because being HERE always wins.
Then, go enjoy that yoga / Pilates / Fitness session you’ve signed up for – not as another task, but as your built-in pause.
Hope this helps you through your busy week.
