Getting fit and healthy doesn’t just mean spending hours sweating away in a gym! Our Yoga & Fitness retreat holidays make the most of the beautiful Spanish climate as we’ll be taking some of this programme into the great outdoors to boost the ‘feel good’ factor of exercising outside in gorgeous, sunny weather.
Join us for daily yoga, Pilates, strengthening & cardio boost sessions, beautiful hike into the nearby mountains, guided bike ride and uber delicious healthy food. And, when you’re ready for a little R&R you can flop on a lounger by the pool, head to the onsite gym, pamper yourself with lovely treatments, take a snooze in your spacious suite or enjoy some water ‘therapy’ in the newly opened Spa that’s due to open in 2017.
These holidays are ideal for anyone who enjoys a variety of activities to maintain – or kickstart! – their fitness. But, don’t worry, you don’t have to be super fit to join us as our instructors are here to inspire you to find your boundaries .. not push you beyond them. And everything is optional, just pick & chose what you want to do.
Location for our Yoga & Fitness Retreats
You’ll be staying at a purpose built Health Resort 45 minutes north of Alicante on the outskirts of La Nucia. This resort opened in 2009 with one aim in mind – to create a special place that provides the services and facilities necesary to achieve an optimal lifestyle through complementary & conventional medicine, good nutrition, exercise, stress management & personal development services.
On site fitness facilities are superb and include; a 12.5m indoor pool, infrared sauna, an outdoor lagoon pool with sunbathing terraces, a multi-purpose ball court, two gyms – one with free weights, cardio machines, boxing & Pilates equipment and the other with a range of weight-assisted isokinetic machines to sculpt and tone all main muscle groups in a 30 minute circuit, a yoga & Pilates studio, peaceful meditation room, a Spa that offers pampertastic facials, massages & body treatments plus – opening in 2017 – an onsite thermal Spa with jacuzzi, steam room, ice plunge pool and infrared sauna.
Unless you are bringing a friend to share with you, you’ll have your own spacious suite equipped with double or twin bedroom, ensuite bathroom, a comfortable lounge with international TV, free WiFi, air-con, safety deposit, a maid service and a bijoux kitchen .. not that you’ll be cooking as this retreat includes all your healthy & nutritious meals.
The Yoga & Pilates Sessions
The daily yoga sessions combine the deep stretches of Hatha with the warming flow of Vinyasa together with deeply restorative Yin Yoga postures. Sessions focus on synchronising breath with simple vinyasa sequences to warm the body, stretch muscles and open joints allowing your practice to feel like a moving flow linked to the breath.
The Pilates sessions are mat based and focus on strengthening & toning the major muscle groups using proficient Pilates movements and a variety of Pilates equipment. During your stay there’ll also be a Meditation workshop where there’ll be a chance to sample various mind calming meditation techiques.
Yoga & Pilates sessions are suitable for keen beginners, those with a lapsed practice & intermediates. Our teaching style is precise but relaxed. There’s no pressure to create perfect postures, what’s more important to us is that you pay attention to how the postures ‘feel’ in your body. Likewise there’s no room for ego as it’s not what we’re about. It doesn’t matter what other people are doing around you, just work with what you have. Be patient, keep practicing and your body will open up & let you back in.

Fitness Training Sessions
We believe fitness should be fun & so we’ve created a programme that includes a variety of activities to boost your cardio & respiratory function, tone & sculpt your muscles, improve your flexibility and soothe your nervous system.
As our resort has such excellent facilities, the majority of activities take place on site but we will also get you out into the beautiful natural countryside nearby for an (easy to moderate) guided bike ride and a mountain hike.
Please remember, you don’t have to be super fit to join these retreats, our trainers & instructors are here to inspire you to find your boundaries .. not push you beyond them. You’ll always be encouraged to work at a level and pace that suits your strength & stamina. And, if there’s a morning where you fancy a lie in or an afternoon where you prefer to stay by the pool and skip class – that’s fine, we want you to do as much or as little as you like!
Days begins slowly & quietly as you wake up sipping a cup of herbal tea & some fresh fruits before your day begins with opening your body & senses in a Yoga or Pilates session. Then, feeling awake & vibrant, time now for a healthy, nutritionally balanced breakfast before we head off for the day’s fitness activity – guided mountain hike, Personal Trainer led circuit training or guided bike ride – making the most of the gorgeous weather before returning to the Spa resort for a uber delicious healthy lunch leaving the afternoon free to relax by the pool, enjoy some pampertastic therapies, have a 1-2-1 personal training session or make use of the gyms. Most afternoons we’ll regroup for an evening wind down yoga or Pilates session before supper & bed.
Remember, all activities are optional, it’s your holiday so do what you wish – our aim is that you leave us feeling fitter, healthier, relaxed and de-stressed.
2017 : May 4-9 & 18-23 retreat at £775 includes:
Pay in full or instalments via bank transfer or with a card
- 5 nights accommodation in spacious a twin or double suite
- As we don’t ask – nor expect – you to share (unless you want to share with a friend) all solo guests are given their own suite for an additional £75 for the week
- Additional nights can be booked at the end of your retreat at £70 per night to include; bed, breakfast & continued use of the on site Spa, gyms & restaurant. Additional nights must be booked in advance to guarantee availability
- Full board nutritionally balanced healthy meals including:
- Welcome dinner on arrival day
- Delicious healthy breakfasts after morning class
- Uber delicious lunches each day
- Super tasty nutritious suppers each evening
- Meals will be vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian. Gluten, dairy & wheat diets can be catered for with advance notice

*Our private airport transfer service.
Operates from/to Alicante airport. Pick up on arrival will be between 11am-13.00 & arrive at airport on final day for midday. Transfers take 45 minutes & cost €40 per person each way. Check your flight options to Alicante here.
Please ensure your flight arrives no later than 12.15 on arrival day & departs no earlier than 13.30 on departure day to allow time to clear customs & collect your luggage.
Flights outside of our transfer service we are happy to either, book a private taxi or book you on an airport shuttle bus service from/to Alicante airport.
