Yoga Flows & Forest Feasts UK

2024 : July 19-22 (3 nights)
Somerset, UK

We’re super excited to tell you about a very special yoga retreat in July 2024 taking place in a beautiful ancient forest  close to the World Heritage City of Bath in Somerset, UK.

Tucked away down a quiet lane where you’ll feel embraced by Mother Nature, you’ll stay at an off-grid forest village where you’ll sleep in super comfy hand built accommodation, practice yoga under the trees, soothe your body in a wood fired sauna, feast on THE  most delicious food, have walks in the countryside, take dips in the private lake, enjoy massages,  forest bathing & a fire ceremony.   Or, of course, you can just put your feet up & enjoy the peace & quiet at this unique location.

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes – including you.”

This Retreat is for you if:

* You’re looking for something that is a ‘bit different’

* You need some ‘me’ time but happy to meet like minded people

* You want to lower your stress levels, anxiety & overwhelm

* You want to immerse yourself in beautiful nature and joyful company

* You like your weekends to be the perfect blend of relaxation & activity

"What a fantastic weekend! I arrived wanting to allow my body and mind to slow down and appreciate the quiet. The location and content of the weekend allowed me to do this. The yoga was marvellous, the food delicious & I loved the open view into the forest from the showers!" Lavinia

The Accommodation

This yoga retreat will be a small gathering of guests staying in just 9 hand built accommodations that include cosy log cabins, yurts, cob house & a shepherds hut each equipped with a comfy bed, a wood burning stove and an outdoor deck & firepit which are perfect for night time star gazing.  There’s also  space for one tent if anyone who fancies a spot of wild camping.

Come on your own or bring a friend

As we don’t ask – nor expect – our solo guests to share, if coming on your own you’ll have your own accommodation.  However some of the accommodations are perfect for two so, if you’d like to bring & share a double or twin with a friend, that’s absolutely possible!

Everyone shares the Tree Shack bathrooms with it’s three hot showers & four composting loos with incredible views into the forest.

The twice daily yoga sessions will take place on the outdoor platform under the trees or indoors in the most amazing roundhouse with a living moss roof & log burner should it be a bit chilly in the mornings.  There’s also a wood fired sauna to ease any aching muscles and a camp fire which’ll gather round at night for chats & cocoa.

A short walk through the trees is a private lake set in a green oasis of native and exotic plants.  The lake is ours for wild water swimming or have a paddle in the dug out canoe.

If you have a sense for adventure, there’s endless footpaths to be explored including a route across the fields to a local village (an hour’s walk) where there’s a country pub and a tea room where they serve an amazing afternoon tea :)

The Retreat Experience

This is going to be – most likely – one of THE most unique experiences you will ever have.

Each day begins quietly with tea & fruits to help you slowly awaken before a guided meditation or breathwork session.   Then, after a little reflection & journaling, we gather for a carefully planned yoga session delivered by an experienced teacher.  The yoga sessions are perfect for those with a little bit of experience right up to the super flexi yogi

After yoga it’s time for a delicious vegetarian brunch cooked by our own private Chef – honestly, she is FANTASTIC!

Brunch finishes late morning where you’re then free to do as you wish.  Perhaps you’d like to read, go for a walk, have a snooze, a wild swim , experience woodfired wellbeing in the sauna, take a massage – the options are endless.   One afternoon we’ll have a forest bathing session – amazing if you’ve never done this before – and each afternoon we’ll stop for tea & cake before we gather again for another yoga session.

Retreat Experience

We take supper together each evening in the forest kitchen.  Evenings there’ll be a super relaxing Yoga Nidra session before bed & on our final eve, a Fire Ceremony by the campfire.

Our time together closes on the final morning with a closing ceremony yoga session and a delicious, hearty brunch before we rejoin the World feeling totally refreshed.

Each day begins with a guided meditation or breathwork under the trees to bring our body, mind & spirit together.

Then, after a short break for a snack & some journaling, we’ll gather for a 90 minute slow flow yoga  to start the day with positive energy.

The gentler evening sessions will be more restorative in nature where we’ll hold postures a little longer to give our body time & space to find calm and let go of tension & anxiety.

The yoga sessions will take us on a journey through the 5 elements – earth, water, fire, air & space – each of which relates to a specific chakra which we’ll activate through the postures, breathwork & meditation.

Your teacher is Nicole Stone, a yoga teacher with 20 years teaching experience who whole-heartedly believes in the transformative power of Yoga.  Regardless of your yoga ability, you’ll be guided to tap into & listen to your body and use this inner intelligence to move in a way that feels right for You.

Whilst most of us haven’t lost our minds, we lost our bodies long ago

You don’t have to be a super flexible yogi but we do believe you’ll enjoy the yoga sessions more if you have a little yoga experience so, if you’re feeling a bit rusty, feel free to ask us to recommend some online classes you can dip into before your arrival

We’ll send you our suggested packing list before arrival but feel free to ask us anything you’d like to know before then.
